Help with your journal
meantime records visits and journeys on your iPhone, with the permissions you choose. Review your days, correct your timeline, and keep the details that matter to you.
Recording your day
For background journaling, allow location access in iOS Settings and choose Always. Motion & Fitness helps classify journeys. Use Settings → Manage Permissions in meantime to review access. Pause Recording stops location and motion capture.
Missing GPS data can leave gaps. Recorded route sections and estimated connections are shown differently. meantime is a personal journal, not a navigation or emergency service.
Free and Pro
Free includes today and the previous seven calendar days, automatic recording, corrections, pause controls, and deletion. Older days remain stored on your device.
Pro adds unlimited history, search, notes, attached and matched photos, Apple Health workouts, steps and heart rate, place statistics, custom categories, highlight colors, iCloud backup, and manual journal export. The app displays the current monthly and yearly prices for your App Store region.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel under iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Cancelling keeps access until the paid period ends. Subscription expiry does not delete your journal.
To recover an existing subscription, use the same Apple Account and choose Restore Purchases on the Pro screen. If plans are unavailable, check your connection and choose Reload Plans.
Your data
iCloud Backup is off by default. With Pro, turn it on in Settings to back up your journal, encrypted, to your private iCloud database. Restore iCloud Backup brings it back after reinstalling or on a new iPhone; Passwords & Keychain must be on in iCloud settings.
Pro’s manual export saves a separate copy of history, recorded locations, and attached photos. Automatic photo-library matches and Health route geometry are not copied into that export. Keep exported files private.
Delete All History removes the local journal and your iCloud backup. Saved addresses and preferences remain. Copies you exported or shared must be deleted separately.
See the Privacy Policy for permissions, maps and weather requests, third-party retention, and optional diagnostic sharing.
